Job Description:

The University of Florida, Department of Pediatrics, Chandran Research Laboratory seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join a team studying the molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration and axon regeneration after CNS injury and neurological diseases, using various in vitro and in vivo model systems. The Chandran Laboratory completes this by integrating various omics techniques (genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics) with basic neurobiology and systems analyses to develop a more systematic understanding of nerve injury and neurodegenerative conditions.

Highly motivated candidates with a PhD or MD/PhD in neurological sciences and experience in molecular biology, imaging, and genomics are encouraged to apply. Prior experience using murine models of neurodegenerative disease, including histological, behavioral and microscopic analysis of disease is strongly preferred, but more important is the passion for basic and translational research.
