Disability Services Coordinator
The Disabilities Services Coordinator plans, directs and implements disabilities support services and coordinates accommodations for qualifying students, as well as tracks and monitors student progress all in support of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The incumbent coordinates assistive, adaptive, and/or alternative technology and other services to meet the accommodation needs of students with disabilities. The Disability Services Coordinator collaborates with campus and college team members to create awareness, serve as a liaison internally and with external agencies, and advocate for students with disabilities. Colorado Mountain College in Summit County includes Breckenridge and Dillon. This position would be expected to serve both locations. Experience working with students with disabilities at the post-secondary level preferred. Degree in Special Education or Developmental Education or related degree preferred. Special Skills or abilities related to position: Knowledge of: Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act; local, regional and state, federal disabilities support services programs and agencies.
