Briar Cliff University of Iowa, an institution committed to higher education within a liberal arts and Catholic perspective, invites applications for a tenure-track associate/full professor and Chair of the Department of Kinesiology and Human Performance to start in the fall of 2017. Tenure may also be granted following successful review of a supplemental professional portfolio.

The chair will provide leadership for both undergraduate (B.S.) and graduate (M.A. and M.S.) programs in kinesiology and human performance and teach courses such as Foundations of Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Research Methods and Design, Structural Kinesiology, and Biomechanics in addition to supervising Practicum and Internship opportunities.  Candidates will have earned a doctorate in kinesiology or related field. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of teaching, research, and service. Additionally, the successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and have demonstrated administrative leadership experience in the field. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to high-quality education in a Catholic and Franciscan University.
