Configuration Manager

Position Description
We are looking for an experienced Configuration Manager to join our team. Our growing software services team needs talented people who possess strong deductive reasoning, attention to detail, persistence and patience in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting medium to large scale application support initiatives, including maintenance of patching and support procedures for ERP based applications, as well as a background in executing software builds with development teams. The CM will be responsible for supporting the overall effort to support software, system performance, features and stress testing, as well as writing installation documentation and performing software packaging and deliverable review. Your future duties and responsibilities
This position will be responsible for supporting and maintaining status with project teams, will report to the CM group manager, and will work with various release stakeholders to develop, maintain, and execute software quality assurance procedures. The position will involve working in a dynamic environment with team members across the US to accomplish project goals. The position will involve working on multiple objectives at one time and balancing priorities. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Previous experience of application level support, migration, deployment activities is preferred.
• Operational knowledge of Linux, AIX, and Windows operating systems.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to understand offshore-onshore delivery model and required coordination aspects, including multitasking.
• Detail oriented, proactive, dedicated, willing to learn; offering an effective delivery in a service industry objectives.
• Implement standards and processes to ensure that all CM procedures/designs are produced with proper integrity, performance, and quality.
• Product development life cycle knowledge in CM arena; e.g. release, packaging of application code, scripts/deliverables, documentation, version control etc.
• Experience of working as configuration manager in client environment is desired.
• Ability to travel and perform tasks at client site may be required. At CGI, we're a team of builders.
