The Institute of Molecular Medicine the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Research Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:* Assist biological and medical scientists in laboratory. * Set up, operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, monitor experiments and record results. * May assist in analyzing organic or non-organic substances.* Assist in the conduct of research, including the collection of information and samples.* Analyze experimental data and interpret results to write reports and summaries of findings.* Use computers, computer-interfaced equipment, or high-technology industrial applications to perform work duties.* Clean, maintain and prepare supplies and work areas.* Set up, clean and maintain, laboratory and field equipment.* Measure or weigh compounds and solutions for use in testing.* Deliver supplies and laboratory specimens to designated work areas.* Maintain inventory reports and logs.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices.
