Greenfield Community College is located in the beautiful and historic Pioneer Valley of western Massachusetts, between the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and the fertile farmland of the Connecticut River watershed. GCC is a public community college of approximately 2,200 students. Greenfield Community College, to support its newly developed Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency initiatives, seeks adjunct instructors qualified to teach one or more of the following topics in credit bearing courses and/or as non-credit community education workshops. Topics include renewable energy/energy efficiency including photovoltaic, solar thermal, energy auditing, green building, energy efficiency, passive solar, geothermal, bio-energy, and residential wind energy. Grant funded added compensation may be available for curriculum development with regard to these last three topics. Although instructors for these and other courses/areas may or may not be needed at this time, applications may be submitted and they will be kept on file for one year.

Teaches course(s) in specific discipline. Responsible for instructional preparation and assessment of student performance. Provides assistance to students by appointment. Attends a limited number of faculty meetings.


  • While most assignments require a Masters degree in the specific discipline or related field, all applicants with comparable professional experience in renewable energy fields will be highly considered.
