Job description

Duties: The Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities is responsible for the daily facility management for all indoor and outdoor intercollegiate and recreation facilities for a comprehensive Division I intercollegiate program for 33 sports, 36 sport clubs, and a diversified intramural program for both undergraduate and graduate student populations. Works with FRES to ensure acceptable and accurate daily maintenance (trades/housekeeping/contractors) requests. Process work orders for DRIA facilities. Building Administrator for select DRIA buildings. Event manager as required. Direct supervision of three (3) professional staff. Reports to and receives general administrative support, supervision and direction from the Associate Athletic Director, Facility Management.

Qualifications: A bachelor's degree is required; master's degree is preferred plus 5-7 years of progressive administrative or facility management experience in athletics and/or a higher education setting or equivalent combination of education and experience; knowledge of facilities maintenance; previous supervisory experience; excellent oral & written communications skills; ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as may be required.
