Duties: The Administrative Coordinator, in collaboration with the Student Intervention Services (SIS) staff and the Associate Vice Provost for Student Affairs (AVPSA), is responsible for assisting with the coordination of student crisis management support and intervention. Major responsibilities include designing and implementing case conference schedules, providing administrative support, and managing the coordination of information and the SIS database. The Administrative Coordinator will provide staff support when dealing with any crisis/emergency situation involving undergraduate, graduate, or professional school students. The Administrative Coordinator will also provide executive-level administrative support to the AVPSA and central OVPUL, including, but not limited to, maintaining schedule and calendar, arranging and confirming meetings, and planning and implementing division-wide programs, projects and activities as assigned.

Qualifications: BS preferred, with 3-5 years of administrative experience preferably in an academic environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong interpersonal, communication and telecommunication skills required. Ability to listen and communicate effectively and to manage extremely sensitive issues with compassion, confidentiality, and discretion. Ability to handle a variety of stressful situations simultaneously. Skill in budget management systems preferred and knowledge of University policies and procedures preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and maintain efficient recordkeeping systems. Excellent computer skills required with proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint preferred. Skill in taking meeting minutes essential. Must be willing to work as part of a team.
