Job Description
The University of South Carolina is seeking an experienced communications manager with the ability to develop and execute the integrated content marketing and public relations strategy for the Division of Administration and Finance. The successful candidate will be an expert in all things related to content and channel optimization, brand consistency, audience segmentation, analytics and meaningful measurement.

Responsibilities:

Develops a content marketing and public relations strategy for the Division of Administration.

Works with colleagues to create a variety of cross-channel content.

Serves as account executive/project manager providing oversight and management of creative and communications projects for services provided by the Office of Communications and Public Affairs.

Performs client coordination between Division of Administration and Finance staff and administrators.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Expertise:

Proven ability to create engaging content across platforms.

Proficiency in content management software, social media platforms, web analytics and social media monitoring.

Knowledge of AP style is a must along with the ability to be a self-editor.

Project management skills and an ability to meet deadlines are necessary.


Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 3 years professional experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material. Two years of experience in a content strategy, marketing or public relations role or other relevant professional experience in communications.


Preferred Qualifications
Five years of professional experience in a client facing content strategy, marketing or public relations role.
