Facility Services Project Manager I or II, Facility: Planning & Construction – 603177

Northern Arizona University’s Department of Facility Service: Planning and Construction is looking to fill two positions, Project Manager I and Project Manager II. These position exists to aid and advise the Director of Planning, Design and Construction (PD & C) in fulfilling the Facility Services’ Mission to the University by providing superior customer service to the Campus community, exercising fiscal responsibility, reporting on leading edge technology, and practicing sustainable operations methods. Project Manager I - Under administrative direction, performs work of considerable difficulty in concurrently managing multiple, minor projects and coordinating moderately complex projects, from inception through project close-out for new University facilities; for modifications, alterations, and repairs to existing facilities and for infrastructure upgrades projects. Total Project Budget for each project will range from $25,000 to $5,000,000. Project Manager II - Under administrative direction, performs work of considerable difficulty in concurrently managing multiple, moderately complex projects, from inception through project close-out for new University facilities; for modifications, alterations, and repairs to existing facilities and for infrastructure upgrades projects. Total Project Budget for each project will range from $25,000 to $20,000,000.

Minimum Qualifications: Project Manager I- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field, and one year progressive experience in managing small size construction or renovation projects. Or any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved. Project Manager II- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field, and five years progressive experience in managing small size construction or renovation projects. Or any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.

Annual Salary:  Commensurate with experience.
