Job Description

The Restaurant Management Team "owns" the overall operations of the restaurant on a 24/7 basis. He or she is responsible for financial performance, talent management, compliance, and profitable revenue growth. Reporting directly to franchise leadership, the team is fully accountable for store performance. The ideal Restaurant Manager candidate has a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma (two years college or advanced education preferred), an affinity for financial management/controls, and a highly collaborative demeanor. We are most interested in someone who is career-oriented and willing to learn all aspects of our business to prepare for roles of increased responsibility within our franchise.

• Accepts overall accountability for the operation of a single restaurant (10-45 employees), ensuring delivery on the Customer Promise and for desired restaurant outcomes (increased sales, profitability, and employee retention)
• Collaborates with other management team members to oversee the financial controls, operations, people development, customer service, and compliance within the restaurant across all shifts
• Directs accurate preparation and sale of products
• Ensures company standards on equipment, facility, and grounds are maintained by using a preventative maintenance program
• Motivates and directs team members to exceed customer expectations with fast, accurate, friendly service in clean surroundings
• Provides coaching and feedback to team and managers on team stations, products, processes, and policies
• Assumes full accountability for the restaurant profit and loss management by implementing marketing strategies, following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, and reviewing financial reporting to enhance restaurant results
• Enforces compliance with government regulations, Market Policy, employment law, food safety, National Security Policy, operations and policies, and procedures relating to all restaurant activities across shifts
• Collaborates with other restaurant management team members in recruiting, selecting, hiring, training, and retaining effective team talent
• Counsels and disciplines team members as necessary

• High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma required; some post high school education or training preferred
• Two years of experience in the food service industry
• Experience in supervising and managing staff
• Strong desire to oversee restaurant operations
• Strong financial acumen and P&L accountability experience
• Willing to assume around-the-clock responsibility for restaurant operations
• Up-beat and engaging personality
• Guest-friendly demeanor
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance
• Strong career interest (for upward mobility opportunities)
• Strong computer and internet skills
• Must have strong team building skills and be able to maintain a cohesive and stable work force
• Fluent English-speaking and writing skills
• Able to lift 35 pounds to waist level
