VISITING CLINICAL DIETITIAN NUTRITIONIST

The Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition (FSHN) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks a Visiting Clinical Dietitian Nutritionist to fill a full-time, 12 month, Academic Professional position. The successful candidate will provide patient care in oncology nutrition at Carle Cancer Center as well as performing professional level duties associated with the implementation of ongoing oncology nutrition research studies.
Conduct the nutrition care process and participate in patient rounds and care conferences. Provide individual and group counseling of patients and their support systems. Review nutrition deficiencies. Chart and/or document of the patient care provided as necessary and appropriate. Provision of care through telemedicine to Carle's patients and/or through travel to Carle satellite clinics outside of the main Carle campus in Urbana. Develop and present educational programs for medical staff, patients and the general public. Train and supervise nutrition and dietetics students and interns as appropriate and screen, consent and follow patients for collaborative University and Carle oncology nutrition research studies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must have an MS or MPH in Nutrition, Dietetics or other related field such as public health. They must hold the credential of Registered Dietitian. 3-5 years professional experience as a Registered Dietitian and 3-5 years in oncology nutrition and/or nutrition support/infusion services experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the above qualifications: Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) credential.
SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications, experience.
PROPOSED START DATE AND LOCATION: June 16, 2017 or as soon as possible after the closing date.
