POSITION SUMMARY In coordination with other dual credit program staff, and under general supervision of the Manager, provides direct support to the dual credit program by providing outreach to dual credit students, parents, teachers, administrators and other high school and career center staff. Ensures key processes and procedures including student enrollment, instructor support, stakeholder communication and reporting/data management are functioning and updated as needed. Works with a variety of stakeholders including high school administrators, counselors, teachers, staff, parents and students. Becomes familiar with college departments and functional areas' relationship to the dual credit program. Works independently and as part of a team. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Provide outreach services to constituent high schools and career centers participating in the dual credit program. Conduct classroom and institute day visits and provide informational and promotional materials for these events as needed. 2. Plan and deliver presentations at area schools, college fairs, career centers and public functions to support and promote student enrollment in dual credit courses. 3. Serve as a liaison with the marketing department and work with high schools and career centers marketing offices to promote JJC and the dual credit program. 4. Communicate dual credit policies and information to parents, students, high school counselors and other internal and external stakeholders. Assist students and high school contacts in resolving application, registration and enrollment issues in a timely manner. 5. Develop and implement parent and student orientations. Collaborate with Admissions and New Student Orientation staff to help create a seamless pathway for students. 6. Assist Manager and dual credit team members with ongoing and special projects including enrollment management and reporting, instructor and student handbook updates and distribution and website management. 7. Attend meetings as assigned, including the Dual Credit Advisory Board meetings. Assist in the preparation of meeting agendas and prepare summary notes for meetings. Participate in planning and facilitating curriculum meetings. 8. Assist Manager in the preparation and execution of Memorandums of Understanding and curriculum agreements for all schools and career centers. 9. Collect course scheduling information from high schools and career centers. Review and revise schedules as necessary. Communicate final schedules to high schools and career centers prior to registration period. 10. Provide support for all enrollment activities, address and resolve any application, registration or placement concerns or issues in a timely manner. Assist with collection and delivery of placement documentation to the Admissions office. 11. Coordinate with dual credit staff, data distribution office and registrar to ensure timely submission of midterm verification and final grade reports. Run queries for outstanding grades at end of term, notify instructors and relay information to the Manager. 12. Collaborate with dual credit staff and other departments and functional areas at the college in the planning of and participation in key events that include but not limited to Discover JJC and the High School Counselors Breakfast. 13. Be familiar with and remain informed in the guidelines for dual credit from the Higher Learning Commission and the Illinois Community College Board, including the Dual Credit Quality Act and other related legislation. 14. Perform related duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Bachelor's degree in Education or related field. 2. Five (5) years of full time related work experience. 3. Ability to design and conduct workshops and presentations. 4. Excellent interpersonal, communication, time and project management and organizational skills. 5. Ability to operate with considerable degree of independence, initiative, and judgment. 6. Ability to work effectively, demonstrating tact and diplomacy, with a variety of stakeholders including administrators, teachers, parents, students, and JJC staff. Must have a commitment to support and promote diversity. 7. Demonstrated use of technology and Microsoft Office software, web content, and other applications and programs. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. Master's Degree in Education or related field. 2. Five (5) years of full time related work experience in an educational setting. 3. Classroom teaching experience at secondary or higher education level. 4. Experience working with corporate, non-profit, or educational leadership. PHYSICAL DEMANDS 1. Normal office physical demands. 2. Ability to travel between campus locations and to and from community events. WORKING CONDITIONS 1. Duties are performed indoors in the usual office and/or outdoor environment.
