Duties: The Associate Director, a full-time position, is responsible for overseeing, planning, and implementing division-wide events and student life initiatives such as the Wharton Undergraduate Cohort System. The Associate Director will oversee all Freshmen events and programming as well as the Sophomore Experience program. The Associate Director will oversee the hiring process and supervise the Student Life Graduate Assistant. The Associate Director will oversee the cohort mentor program, advise the business fraternities, co-advise the transfer student experience, and co-chair the Alumni-Student Engagement Committee. The Associate Director will also assist with New Student Orientation, Cohort Orientation training and leadership development as well as contribute to Wharton Undergrad community-building events. The position will assist with budget management, processing, and tracking.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree and 3 to 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required; masters degree preferred. Experience in event planning, student activities, student advising, supervisory experience, and budget management preferred. Ideal candidate must have strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have extensive event planning skills and budget experience; must be extremely detail-oriented and strong organizational skills are required. Must have student advisory experience and must be able to work well with students. Must be able to work well with all constituencies to promote a workplace and educational environment that supports a highly diverse population. Must be able to work in a busy and collaborative team environment. Some evening and weekend work is required. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft office experience.
