Job Summary The University of Georgia invites inquiries and nominations for the position of Executive Search Consultant in the UGA Search Group. The University of Georgia (UGA), a land-grant/sea-grant university, is the largest and most comprehensive educational institution in Georgia. Academic programs reside in 17 schools and colleges, as well as a medical partnership with Augusta University housed on the UGA Health Sciences Campus in Athens. The University's main campus is located in Athens, approximately 65 miles northeast of Atlanta, with extended campuses in Griffin, Gwinnett, and Tifton. The Executive Search Consultant role is an executive recruiter position with the majority of time invested in communication with prospective executive-level talent. The position duties include placing phone calls to faculty, mid and senior level administrative leaders, and to senior staff with the goal of attracting new leadership talent to the University. The culture in academia is such that prospective candidates are highly receptive to these conversations about new opportunities, and conversion rates are high compared to other industries. This position will frequently participate in meetings and interact with senior level individuals across the University of Georgia. The Executive Search Consultant will be expected to work with our Senior Executive Search Consultants, Assistant Director, and Executive Search Process Managers toward the successful completion of the search process. Sourcing support and training in sourcing techniques, will in-part be provided for the consultant by other internal members; however, the consultant will be responsible to source candidates as well.
