About The Unit:

Unit Job Summary: Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant: The Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant manages full cycle talent acquisition for various academic and business units throughout the University. Accountable for actively supporting the broader HR Community with four critical areas: - Workforce Planning: proactively identify, understand and assess current and future state talent needs; build and align candidate pipeline. - Strategic Sourcing: offer targeted hiring to support University's mission surrounding Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity, Veteran and Disabled - Talent Pool Assessment: leverage critical selection factors to evaluate fit and engagement level. Assess talent to ensure alignment with unit culture, expectations and methods of operation. - Successful Selection: create exceptional candidate experience from reference checks to extending an offer, assists units across the University with staff recruiting, including advising on advertising and outreach methods, sourcing candidates, prescreening resumes, interviewing candidates, checking references, and advising on salary levels. Specific responsibilities: -Establishes strong relationships with hiring managers and leverages his/her understanding of the departmental needs, business requirements and culture to create an approach to effective talent acquisition processes. - Partners with hiring managers at all levels of the organization to build a strategic recruitment plan; serves as an overall advisor to hiring managers and HR partners to accomplish timely interviewing and hiring objectives. - Creates and maintains a diverse talent resource pipeline - Provides a high level of expertise for full cycle talent acquisition. Develops structured interview materials for candidate interviews; maintains appropriate documentation. Presents candidate feedback to hiring managers, advising them on candidates' strengths, development opportunities, and recommendations to make successful hire decisions. -Researches best practices and market trends; authors strategic and effective resources for the broader HR Community. Identifies and implements initiatives to elevate the Talent Acquisition brand and build partnerships with the HR community. -Proactively develops innovative candidate sourcing strategies such as social media, networking, internet research and partnering with affiliated organizations to develop a pipeline of qualified and competitive candidates for various positions. -Participates as a valued stakeholder in broader HR initiatives Manages and maintains the applicant tracking system and assists hiring managers, HR partners, and prospective candidates by answering questions and troubleshooting the system. Leverages ATS to analyze trends. -Provides consultation to and advises hiring units to ensure University policies and procedures and applicable employment laws are applied appropriately. -Works closely with other Human Resources Centers of Expertise, including Employee & Labor Relations, Training, Compensation, and HR Operations to provide a high-level of customer service to all HR professionals and hiring managers. -Researches inquiries from prospective applicants, hiring managers, and HR Partners throughout campus; provides timely resolution. - Mentors, coaches and oversees the work of less senior team members. - Manages special projects within area of expertise as needed. - Develops plans for and represents the University at various recruitment and selected educational institution and career fairs.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Unit Experience: - A minimum of 4 years of proven full life cycle recruitment required; experience in a higher education environment and/or highly decentralized environment highly preferred - Applicant tracking system experience required - Experience creating educational HR resources and content required
