Job Description

The client seeks a Cisco LAN/WAN Network administrator with an in-depth understanding of infrastructure operations, including installation and configuration, as well as the ability to work independently and quickly recognize, diagnose and resolve complex problems. Candidate must be willing to work onsite in Raleigh, North Carolina. This is not a remote position.

  • Schedule: Standard work week is 5 days, (M-F), 8 hours/day

Opportunity Details

  • US Citizenship
  • 4+ years of experience performing Site Survey Assessments in a commercial or industrial setting
  • 4+ years of experience performing LAN hardware infrastructure changes (Layer 1 - 3)
  • 3+ years of real-world experience with and expert-level knowledge of fiber optic technologies
  • 3+ years of real-world experience with and expert-level knowledge of LAN infrastructure to include Cisco Switches (Layer 2 and Layer 3)
  • 3+ years of real-world experience with and expert-level knowledge of LAN switch configuration technologies
  • 3+ years of real-world experience troubleshooting Cisco router and switch configurations
  • 3+ years of real-world experience installing and implementing new fiber optic cabling and Cisco switches during LAN infrastructure upgrades
  • Strong, testable ability to interface directly with vendors and local maintenance personnel regarding LAN hardware implementation
  • Strong, battle-tested to self-manage concurrently running projects
  • Strong ability to perform asset equipment

Preferred Skills:
  • 5 years of information technology industry customer service skills, and a passion for successfully and consistently exceeding client expectations when working in a Solution Center environment
  • Bachelor's degree or 7+ years' equivalent work experience

  • Configuration expertise
  • C#, .Net, Java Developer expertise
  • Configuring performance monitoring and optimization Server 2008
  • Configuring protocols and network connections
  • Deploying service packs
  • Microsoft MCSE certification
  • Any of a multitude of Cisco Network Certifications
  • Brilliant Multi-tasking aptitude
  • Experience using MobileIron would be a plus
  • Outstanding Military service record
