Aids and assists the anesthesia practitioner in a number of needs, primarily through keeping supplies and equipment stocked and cleaned, also by lending a "third hand" when necessary. Uses sterile techniques as needed, holds lines, calibrates transducers, sets up IVs, and processes paperwork. Picks up and delivers drugs from pharmacy as needed.

BLS for the Healthcare Provider issued by the American Heart Association valid through at least 6 months from initial employment date.



Physical Requirements

The essential functions for this position include the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 to 100 pounds occasionally and 25 to 50 pounds frequently; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases, hazards of radiation, and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.



Shift

MUST be available to work on day shift, evening shift and night shift. Must be available to also work on weekends and holidays as assigned.



Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Experience in maintenance and repair of anesthesia equipment required, knowledge of aseptic technique.

Previous experience as Anesthesia Tech or SRNA preferred.
