Employee Assistance Program


Conduct confidential EAP assessments, provide short term counseling, and refer clients to community resources when needed.
Develop and conduct training in areas relevant to EAP (conflict communication skills, team building, stress management, etc.).
Conduct critical incident stress management interventions when needed.
Provide consultation to supervisors, managers, administrators, and faculty members.
Interpret rules/regulations of the University, and policy/procedures as set forth by the EAP Director as well as state and federal clinical practice guidelines.
Work closely with Emergency Loan Fund committee in application/approval/repayment process.


Master's Degree or PhD in a behavioral health field and two years of clinical experience.
Valid license in the State of Florida as a mental health counselor, marriage and family therapist, social worker, psychologist, or related field; or licensed in another state with the ability to
obtain FL licensure within six months of hire.
Experience in clinical assessment, including substance abuse assessment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective, respectful working relationships.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments.
Experience with the standard concepts, practices, and procedures of health, human service, and counseling programs.
Experience using case management software and preparing presentations, with the ability to prepare reports and keep Excel data files.

Employee Assistance experience and certification as an Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), or willing to pursue certification.
Experience in conducting supervisor consults.
Experience in conducting training.
Experience in mediation a plus.
