The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine's Department of Public Health Sciences has an exciting opportunity for a temporary Research Analyst. This position will be responsible for specifying the data collection battery for a new study and specifying how data will be transferred from sites to the University of Miami. Duties may include, but are not limited to, under the supervision of the Biostatistician and other study investigators, will plan and specify the measures to be collected in a newly funded federal grant. This includes reviewing the proposal with planned data collection; reviewing the literature and available public repositories to see if any measures have been updated or other data collection instruments should be included; and documenting the final packet of measures, creating a data dictionary and working with programmers to ensure that data entry tables are complete and accurate. Also will prepare and oversee quality control for data collection systems which will entail the creation of Redcap databases for data entry; creation of mechanisms for client reimbursement once data has been collected; and development of SOPs around data collection and quality control.

The minimum qualifications for this temporary position are as follows: Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Biostatistics or a closely related field of study. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including excellent interpersonal skills. Possess a very high level of integrity, particularly in matters related to evaluation, professional relationships and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated interest in the field of public health.
