General Description of Position:

The purpose of this position is to coordinate current and future programs as identified by the Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Programs in the College of Engineering.

Job Description:

Plans, manages and directs programs housed in the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs Office.  Coordinates day-to-day programming including explanations of college policies and procedures, ensuring all involved comply with program requirements.  Collects/analyzes data and prepares reports.  Coordinates and manages events, forums and tours.  Candidate will collaborate with students, administrators, faculty, staff, KSU Foundation, corporate partners, and anyone else involved to ensure all aspects of the programs function effectively.  Directs and supervises student workers. Other duties as assigned.

 

Provides support for the College of Engineering's research administration activities, including, but not limited to, the daily maintenance of e-Proposal historical data uploads, proposal documents and research information transfer.

Other duties as assigned by the Grants Officer and Grants Specialist(s).

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree. Experience managing programs or projects and working with college students. Experience with event planning and coordination. Experience with data collection, analysis and preparation of reports.

 

Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on detail. Ability to work independently. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate effectively with others. Ability to manage and supervise people. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint). The nature of the job will necessitate night and weekend availability.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with K-State proposal processes.
