GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides administrative support and technical assistance to the Department of Public Safety, police, emergency management and environmental health and safety functions.  Assists the Chief of Police/Director of Public Safety on a number of key confidential functions pertaining to campus-wide services provided by all areas reporting into the Department of Public Safety.  Assists with facilitating the agency’s accreditation process, and is the agency’s primary contact with the Massachusetts’ Police Accreditation Commission (MPCA) and the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). Assists with coordinating all administrative aspects of training department personnel, including training records and serves as agency’s liaison with the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Council (MPTC).  Exceptionally high degrees of confidentiality, discretion and customer service are required of this position.
