Savannah State University seeks qualified applicants for Noyce Project Coordinator.  This position is an integral member of the project team; responsible for project deliverable deadlines and budget.  Manages all day-to-day administrative support for operation of the NSF-funded Robert Noyce grant program; coordinates curriculum development activities for the College of Science and Technology.  Identifies resources and coordinates the efforts of team members, partners, and third-parties to produce project deliverables.  Oversees quality control; ensures completion of project objectives.  Provides management, direction, and coordination of programs, undergraduate research and mentoring; coordinates office activities, schedules seminars, site visits, and evaluations of NSF funded programs.  Prepares, administers and manages student feedback and data collection; serves as liaison for partner organizations.  May be directed to perform job related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description.    Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

 

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.  Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the project management area (business, non-profit or higher education), as a project coordinator or manager; 3-5 years of budget management experience.  Effective fundraising and/or grant writing experience; exceptional track record for planning and executing projects, on time and on budget. Proven ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment; demonstrated ability to balance technical issues/solutions with time, cost and human factors. Strong leadership, creativity, multi-tasking and organizational; effective presentation, verbal and written communication skills with proficiency with MS Office.  Background and/or credit checks may be required.
