Residence Life Coordinator 
Full-Time, Live-on, Benefited
Position Summary
The Department of Residence Life and Housing seeks applicants for a full time, live on staff member to begin on July 1st, 2017. The successful candidate will strive to serve students living on campus at MSU and be supportive of creating a strong community, where all members are valued and respected.


  • Provide assistance and supervision to the residence hall staff.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the Residence Hall programming model, policies, and judicial process.
  • Act as a judicial officer for the department.
  • Respond to crises situations and participate in a on call rotation
  • Help to create an educational environment for students outside of the classroom.
  • Co-advise Residence Hall Association and support student development within the residence hall communities.   
  • Maintain the Residence Life Office webpage and social media accounts


  1. A Bachelor’s degree is required (Human Services, Business Management, Counseling, Education, or related field), Master’s preferred.
  2. Experience working in a residential higher education setting is desirable. 
  3. A successful candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  4. Flexibility with non-traditional work hours. 
  5. Ability to work cooperatively with and contribute to a diverse campus through collateral opportunities
