Position Summary for Essential Functions
Overall purpose of the position: In this supervisory position, the employee will demonstrate the leadership attributes needed to guide the organization's job coaches in providing superior service delivery to both individuals with disabilities working within the Community Employment Services (CES) program and the vendors they serve. This position supervises and trains job coaches, communicates with vendors, and oversees documentation and reports. This position will step in and perform the duties of a job coach in the absence of that job coach.
Education: Bachelor's degree, or college level courses in human services, behavior management, psychology, or related field is preferred.
Experience: Three years' experience working with persons with disabilities in a vocational, residential or recreational program, or from extensive, relevant personal involvements is required. Customer service experience is required. Three years' experience working directly with DOL, Medicaid, and CARF regulations is preferred. A valid driving license with fewer than -6 points is required. Must be a US Citizen in order to pass and maintain the required clearances and be able to enter secure government facilities to supervise crews. Two years of experience supervising direct service staff preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
50% Program Delivery: Provide appropriate training, mentoring, and supervision to job coaches who instruct appropriate work attitudes, work skills, specific individual service delivery, and other duties in assigned program area. Meet with Program Manager on an established and as needed basis to discuss workforce and program services delivery issues. Fill in for job coaches when necessary. Conduct worksite customer service visits/audits to correspond with vendor leadership and to ensure that productivity, partnership, billing, and other issues are addressed and reported. Cross train at various sites to ensure ability to cover for colleagues.
20% Compliance & Reporting: Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements (safety, abuse reporting, human rights) Ensure compliance with requirements for program service documentation (data support logs, reports, information and individual files) as regulated by funding sources, MVLE program licensure/certification standards and MVLE internal data and fiscal procedures. Ensure that all regular reports are correctly prepared and disseminated within designated time frames.
20% Intake & Outcome Measures: Assist the Transition Specialist in supervising the transition processes for individuals served in CES by managing new enrollment and transfers utilizing tours, assessments, intakes, and participation in inter-disciplinary teams of new and current enrollees. Collaborate with job coaches and other team members to improve individual service and program outcomes. Responsible for data keeping in relation to outcome measures.
10% Liaison: Establish and maintain positive liaison roles with vendors, families and individuals.
The following are the non-essential functions of the position:
- Attend related educational /training/informational workshops, seminars, or courses as requested or as needed to support the center-based program.
- Assist with individuals' self-help skills when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
