Posting Summary:
The Department of Intramural-Recreational Sports, a division of the University of Virginia Athletics, is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant to support senior leadership by performing advanced, diverse, and confidential clerical and administrative duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, competencies, and knowledge of organizational policies and practices. Examples of administrative support include but not limited to coordinating a busy and shifting office calendar; tracking, monitoring, and following through on projects; recruiting and on/offboarding logistics; coordinating and managing correspondence and communication; as well as completing non-routine assignments all which require a level of independence and autonomy, ability to interpret information and apply to daily work, proactive planning, and anticipation of needs. This role is expected to continuously prioritize quality, service, and timeliness throughout work activities to support Intramural-Recreational Sports in serving the University community through first-class recreational engagement that fosters wellness, impacts lives and generates life-long memories.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
*Strong working knowledge of administrative procedures. Ability to analyze and present information.
*Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member in a large and complex organization as well as work independently.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the flexibility to interact with a diverse work force.
*Proficiency in managing busy and shifting office calendar using Microsoft Outlook delegated authority.
*Sufficient knowledge of computer/data systems to enable the efficient input and maintenance of system processes, use of spreadsheets, and other common office support capabilities.
*Proven experience in multi-tasking with competing demands.
