General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a position as a Limited Term Faculty to teach Economics in the Mike Cottrell College of Business. This is a ten-month, non-tenured position for one academic year. The start date is August 1, 2017, and the end date is May 15, 2018. he MCCB is an AACSB-accredited college of business that offers programs on five campuses in the North Georgia region. The MCCB serves more than 4,000 students in our service area. The position will be located at the Dahlonega campus.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • This position requires teaching undergraduate and possibly graduate economics courses and contributing to a professional, respectful, and collegial college culture.

  • The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to innovative teaching and learning methods.
  • Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as the interpersonal abilities to successfully work with students, faculty, staff, and members of the community.

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in economics or a closely related field is preferred
  • Master's degree with a minimum of 18 semester hours of graduate course work in economics coupled with recent professional work experience in the field is required for those who have not earned a doctorate degree.
