Required Qualification: (As Evidenced by an Attached Resume)
Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. License to practice psychology in New York State or New York State license eligible. Three (3) years of research experience with empirical supported treatments for stress, anxiety and depression, of which at least one year of experience is following attainment of a doctoral degree. Minimum of one first-authored publication.
Experience with grant writing, treatment outcome research. CBT and mind body treatment modalities.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Mind Body Clinical Research Center (MB-CRC) in the Department of Psychiatry at Stony Brook University seeks a full-time Research Scientist to provide clinical services and conduct research as part of our team. The mission of the MB-CRC is to improve the mental and physical health of individuals and communities managing chronic health conditions through providing holistic clinical services, conducting basic and applied cutting-edge research, and training tomorrow's clinical research leaders. The Research Scientist will be expected to split their time between clinical and research related activities.
- Providing individual and group psychotherapy
- Data Analyses/Manuscript Preparation/Grant Writing
- Aiding in the implementation of research projects
- Conducting mental/behavioral health initial evaluations
- Maintaining documentation in the EMR
- Providing mental/behavioral health skills-based workshops/seminars
- Supervising Staff and Trainees
- Other duties as assigned
Special Notes: This is a full time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
