This position is an important part of the healthcare visit. This is first face the patient will see when they arrive for their appointment.

Along with customer service, this position also pre-authorizes appointments, verifies insurance, ensures important documents are scanned into the electronic medical record, and communicates with providers when patient is ready to be seen.

This position will also be responsible for scheduling follow-up appointments and printing the summary after the patient has completed their visit. Patients often will walk in with various questions, concerns, and needs-this will also be fielded by this position.
