The position supports multiple members of department leadership. Daily tasks may include research and library skills in editing and drafting presentations, manuscripts, etc. for publication; analyze and prepare data and develop reports from laboratory and other information databases and systems; management of projects from beginning to end; scheduling of work groups, projects, meetings to address regular departmental operations, processes and activities; familiarity with university policies and procedures as applicable to department operations.

This individual will assist in the management of complex and ever-changing calendars for members of department leadership, provide high-level professional assistance to department leadership, assist with managing the flow of information from multiple divisions and laboratory entities, and serve as a liaison with University-wide administrators and external constituents.

The position will have frequent interaction with faculty, staff, housestaff and students. Will also interact frequently with senior administrative leadership for the Department, College and University.
This is a complex environment requiring the ability to manage multiple detailed tasks while providing professional support and service.
