Health Care Assistant
Front office and clinical Health Care Assistant to: greet patients, answer phone, create patient cases; register patients, schedule appointments, work referral buckets; coordinate diagnostic tests, obtain authorization; prepare examination room, record patient history, take chief complaint, obtain vital signs, perform and assist with procedures as necessary.Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in a medical office setting with medical terminology; knowledge and experience performing routine health assessment tests and vital signs; experience with electronic health record systems and patient scheduling systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a certified medical assistant with current certification, which must be maintained for the duration of employment.Desired Qualifications
Experience in a front desk setting; experience in a clinical setting; ability to multi-task and cross cover positions; team player; strong background with health insurance and authorization requirements; knowledge and experience working in an orthopedic clinic setting.Required Application Materials
