Under supervision, the Student Campus Services Officer will work under the general supervision of the ranking on-duty police officer. This means that definite work objectives are set for the Student Campus Service Officer but methods of performing the tasks are frequently left to the judgment of the Student Campus Service Officer with occasional instruction or advice provided by the on-duty police officer. The frequency of review by the on-duty police officer depends on the difficulty and complexity of the assignment or the impact/result of the work performed. While the on-duty police officer is responsible for the general assignment of work, less control may be exercised over the flow of work and instructions given may be more general in nature. The Student Campus Service Officer is responsible for the results of the work.
