Research Assistant ProfessorJob Description: The University of Florida’s College of Nursing, Department of Biobehavioral Nursing Science is recruiting a creative and highly motivated individual with a research focus and training in innovative aspects of pain and aging. The successful candidate will have an established record of research training, including post-doctoral training, strong quantitative research skills, refereed publications, and grant-writing experience. He/she will also have experience coordinating research programs and supervising research staff. This is a twelve-month, non-tenure track accruing, part-time, three-year time-limited faculty position in the College of Nursing. The college uses online learning delivery for many of its programs. As part of UF Health, the University of Florida academic health center, the College of Nursing collaborates with five other health-related colleges and the UF Health family of hospitals, as well as clinical partners across the state, such as the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System. Faculty members have opportunities for collaborations in research and scholarship with 16 colleges and 16 multidisciplinary institutes across the University of Florida as well as collaborations within our clinical health system. The College is also a partner in UF’s Center for Translational Science Institute (CTSI). Advertised Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. Minimum Requirements: PhD in nursing or health-related social science. Strong quantitative research background and excellent writing skills are required. Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those who have experience on federally funded research teams.
