This is a full-time continuing position. JOB PURPOSE: Provide administrative or operational support with limited supervision in the campus Zone Management Dept.
- The Zone D Administrator acts as the daily customer service contact for Building Managers and customers throughout campus.
- Responsible for customer inquiry, including follow-up to ensure prompt quality work and customer satisfaction. Acts as liaison between BGM Operations and clients in regard to scheduling work in buildings.
- Works cooperatively with the Zone D Manager and Zone D Engineer to establish priorities and identify/resolve problems within the business area. Work with other Zone teams when necessary to provide back-up or specialized support.
- Coordinates and manages small building improvement projects. The Zone D Administrator is also responsible for the management of classroom renewal projects and management of a multi-year classroom renewal plan.
- Completes building inspections to identify maintenance and service issues.
- Oversee and/or process financial transactions; produce, monitor, and reconcile budget statements; research, identify, and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage purchasing process, including purchase order preparation, invoice payment, and vendor management.
- Oversee and/or perform duties associated with organizing small events, including event logistics and budget management.
- Compose and draft documents and correspondence; perform substantial editing and fact checking. Create and maintain accuracy of content in various documents and reports.
- Plan and schedule calendar(s) with limited consultation, resolve calendaring conflicts, and arrange travel in compliance with unit, university, and sponsor policies.
- Create complex reports and spreadsheets which may utilize specialized software and systems.
- May lead staff or supervise day-to-day work of student and/or temporary workers, including scheduling, assigning, and prioritizing workloads, setting appropriate deadlines, reviewing work for quality and timeliness, and providing performance review input.
