Position Summary:
Office of Career Services. The Career Development Specialist assists students in the College of Science and Mathematics with implementing a four-year career plan and advises students on career preparation and the job search process or graduate school planning.

Essential Functions

  • Establishes strong faculty relationships and communicate information about events and job trends to students and faculty within the assigned college(s).
  • Implements a consistent student and faculty communication strategy for informative and meaningful outreach.
  • Administers and interprets career related assessments.
  • Assists students in locating relevant experience, critiquing student resumes, conducting mock interviews, developing and presenting career related programs.

    Master’s Degree

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases and successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.
