General Description of Position: Department of Entomology, Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS. 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), non-tenure track position. Anticipated length of appointment: 2 years depending on the availability of funding. Annual renewal contingent on satisfactory performance and availability of funding. Designing experiments, conducting research, and analyzing data with a research emphasis on improving the distribution and efficacy of aerosol insecticides for controlling stored-product insects in food storage and processing facilities. Other responsibilities include preparing progress reports and manuscripts, and maintaining insect colonies and research facilities.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Entomology or a related discipline with relevant coursework in stored product entomology, insect pest management, insect toxicology and/or statistics. Extensive research experience in insect pest management as demonstrated by publications. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in entomology or biology.   Extensive research experience in stored product entomology and insect pest management, and excellent organizational, and written and interpersonal communication skills.
