Job Description:

This position reports to the Skills Lab Director and Professional Practice Skills Lab course coordinators and will assist with the Professional Practice Skills Lab courses. Responsibilities will include: inventory management, lab space organization, student grading/assessment, ordering supplies, scheduling teaching assistants, lab preparatory activities, and administrative support.

Lab Space Prep and Organization

  • Measuring and preparing supplies/materials prior to lab activity
  • Scheduling additional space needed for lab activities
  • Breakdown and clean-up support after compounding lab

Administrative Support

  • Scheduling Teaching Assistants
  • Grading and assessing student progress and achievement
  • M&S fee administrative support
  • OSCE administrative support
  • Top 200 Drug Exam administrative support
  • AphA Immunization Certificate Course administrative support

Inventory Management

  • Tracking and maintaining the inventory of supplies
  • Developing supply lists based on upcoming lab activities

Other duties as needed

Advertised Salary:

Up to $14/hour, commensurate with education and experience.  

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and six months of pharmacy experience. Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician in accordance with Chapter 465.014, Florida Statutes. 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in community and/or hospital pharmacy
  • Strong communication skills, organizational skills
  • A desire and enthusiasm for teaching
  • Must effectively interact with faculty, staff, and students
