Project Coordinator II

This position will direct the California College Promise Innovation Grant Program, in particular the coordination of college services and support for early matriculation (Student Success & Support Program), college and career success, and the Contra Costa College First Year Experience with the Richmond Promise Scholars during the 2017-2018 academic year, consequently with the goal of full implementation to all new incoming students for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Knowledge and experience with implementing and coordinating specially funded programs; computer-based technology experience; use organizational skills that enable performance of duties in a timely fashion with attention to detail; effectively communicate orally and in writing; sensitivity to and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, politics, philosophy, disability, and religious background of all students, faculty and staff;

• Plans and coordinates the daily operations of the specially funded program
• Maintains close liaisons with other departments/divisions in planning and development of appropriate support services on campus and with community partners
• Provide leadership of the support team who will provide dedicated support for the promise students
• Collect and track data of promise students for state reporting requirements
• Maintains close liaison with The Richmond Promise staff to effectively communicate the objectives of the program and to assure that the goals of the program are successfully accomplished;
• Participates in the continued evaluation and improvement of the assigned programs or projects
• Serve as liaison with the promise students directing them to appropriate resources on campus and within the community
• Assist with the monitoring of the program budget and required reporting to the California Community College Chancellor's Office
• Collaborate with local high school partners with the College and Career Readiness and Early Commitment to College initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
