WVU School of Medicine, Department of Surgery is actively recruiting a full-time, board certified/board eligible General Surgeon with subspecialty training in Breast Disease. Breast cancer patients presenting to the WVU Cancer Institute are evaluated and treated in a multidisciplinary team approach by all subspecialties in our NAPBC- and CoC-accredited center. Our breast care center is an ACR Breast Imaging Center of Excellence with fellowship-trained breast radiologists. Over the last two years, the WVU Cancer Institute has begun an aggressive regionalization of cancer care to include 5 sites across the northern part of the state.

Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery at the time of appointment. Candidates also must have completed or in the process of completing an accredited fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials. Responsibilities will include providing excellent patient care as well as teaching medical students and surgery residents with the potential for training Fellows in the future. Opportunities exist to participate in clinical and translational research.
