Directs, manages, organizes, and responsible for over 475 recognized student organizations and clubs. Responsible for the oversight and management of seven recognized Clemson University student media organizations. Promotes best practices, student learning, and the achievement of departmental and divisional goals. Performs other duties as assigned.
30% - Essential - Student Organization Program Development & Management:
Directs, manages and assesses various student organization development programs and services for student officers, members, and faculty/staff advisors. Provides oversight of the recognition process for all student organizations and clubs. Manages and evaluates planned programs and events that enhance leadership and involvement opportunities for students and advisors. Ensures all student organizations are in compliance with all federal, state, local, and university regulations, policies and procedures including domestic and international travel. Promotes and manages the online student engagement platform called Tiger Quest.
25% - Essential - Student Organizations Advisement:
Oversees and provides leadership to 475+ recognized student organizations and clubs. Advises, coaches, and provides resources to a variety of student organizations and advisors placing an emphasize on student learning and student leadership. Directs budget management and compliance, contract negotiations, event management, and risk management for responsible programs and areas of oversight. Advises, counsels, and directs students and advisors while providing opportunities for personal and professional growth and development.
25% - Essential - Tiger Media Development & Management:
Oversees and provides leadership and resources to Tiger Media and its seven member student media organizations including the student newspaper, yearbook, TV station, radio station, and a variety of student published magazines. Develops and manages an effective Tiger Media program that is consistent with organizational membership goals, objectives, and college media best practices.
10% - Essential - Personnel Management:
Hires, trains, and evaluates two professional staff members and three graduate assistants who work with Tiger Media and the student organizations and clubs community. Works with staff and students to create a mutually beneficial, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
10% - Essential - Campus Activities and Events:
Meets regularly with supervisor and attends staff meetings. Participates in departmental and university-wide committees, supports Campus Activities and Events initiatives, and develops and supports ongoing collaborative efforts. Serves as a key staff member of the department's assessment team ensuring that student learning outcomes are measured and reported for all areas of oversight.
A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.

Manages Work of Others - Manages work of others including hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff. Plans organizational structure and job content.
