Required Qualifications:

1. Knowledge in: Pipe fitting.
2. Skill in: Work as a team member and interacting with the public.
3. Ability to: Use measuring devices; read schematics; review logs and work orders; complete work orders and time sheets; perform intermediate math.
4. High School Diploma or GED
5. Ability to be on call; work outside of normal working hours (including holidays); work special events.
5. To obtain a TCEQ Class “D” Water Operators License within 1 year; or Class “C” Ground Water Treatment Operators License within two years.
6. To obtain a TDH - Asbestos Worker License within 1 year.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. To have a TCEQ Class “D” Water Operators License; or Class “C” Ground Water Treatment Operators License.
2. To have a TDH - Asbestos Worker License.


Job Description:

Responsible for operating and maintaining all steam, condensate, potable water systems, and associated equipment.


Job Duties:

1. Install new steam and condensate piping systems and all associated equipment.
2. Remove asbestos and encapsulate exposed areas.
3. Check University and Freeman Ranch water wells.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Information to Applicants:

Pay offer will be commensurate with experience with 4,447 monthly being maximum pay with benefits.

This position is a benefits eligible, project-based position. It is a one year term appointment with the possibility of renewal.
