The University of Connecticut is seeking applications for the full-time position of Assistant Men's and Women's Swimming Coach/Recruiting Coordinator. Responsibilities include: assisting the Head Men's and Women's Swimming Coach in planning and organizing all phases of a Division I men's and women's swimming program including: recruitment and development of student-athletes; home and away meet preparation and management; assisting with facility operations and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Recruiting Coordinator responsibilities include: working directly with the Head Coach to develop a recruiting plan; organizing official visits; prospect evaluation; recruiting database management and general recruiting responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree; previous collegiate coaching experience as a Head or Assistant Coach of a Division I swimming program (within the past two years); knowledge of and prior experience recruiting Division I student-athletes; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; strong commitment to the academic goals of the University; excellent organizational, communication and public relation skills; and USA Swimming, Lifeguard, CPR/First Aid certifications needed at time of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong recruiting and/or recruiting coordinator experience; experience leading a training group through a complete NCAA cycle; and prior experience of community outreach and/or involvement with University activities.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

Salary commensurate with experience.
