Department Summary: BSU College of Continuing Studies works with prospective undergraduate students interested in pursuing one of the university's 9 night degree programs. We promote BSU undergraduate night and online classes, BSU Summer Session, and Intersession. We also oversee the BSU Attleboro and Cape Cod campuses. College of Continuing Studies degree completion programs in Bridgewater: Accounting & Finance, Art, Communication Studies, Criminal Justice, Economics, Management, Psychology, Sociology and Special Education in Bridgewater. BSU Cape Cod degree completion programs in South Yarmouth, MA: Communication Studies (Strategic Communications concentration) and Early Childhood Education (Early Education and Care, PreK-K concentration). BSU Attleboro degree completion programs in Attleboro: Management.

Position Summary: This position oversees recruitment and admissions for the College of Continuing Studies and serves as a lead member of the college's overall marketing and recruitment team. This position is responsible for planning and staffing of outreach, recruitment, admissions, and orientation programs and activities. This position will plan and direct outreach, recruitment, and admissions events to generate interest in the college and its programs. This position will coordinate day-to-day communication with prospective students in the College of Continuing Studies The Assistant Director will review all completed applications and make standard admissions decisions for the college. As a member of the marketing and recruitment team, the position is involved in planning, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive strategy for student recruitment and enrollment. The incumbent of this position must have a solid understanding of recruitment strategies, admissions processes, and program details. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the supervision and direction of the Dean of the College of Continuing Studies. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Supervises AFSCME and APA department members.

Essential Duties: 1. Work with Dean of Continuing Studies to set recruitment and admissions goals. Accurately forecast projected new students on a periodic basis for the Dean. 2. Oversee all efforts around the development of effective tools to ensure the efficiency of admissions processes; oversees the operations and processing of prospective student information from inquiry through to enrollment. Direct implementation of enrollment strategies and recruitment planning. 3. Develop recruiting strategies for the College and specific programs or groups. Establish new recruiting pipelines and locate new recruiting venues for reaching prospects. 4. Enhance recruitment efforts through a comprehensive recruitment and reinforcement communication plan, leveraging the use of technology and social media. 5. Identify and direct business development and sales for employer incumbent worker customized training and professional development courses and programs. 6. Manage inquiries to ensure prompt contact and achieve weekly performance activity goals; utilize approved recruitment policies/formats; make prompt and effective contact with inquiries and advise under qualified candidates based upon incompatible career goals. 7. Train Continuing Studies admissions staff on business processes and in the use of the systems, keep abreast of new features and updates. 8. Schedule and conduct interviews, pursue qualified candidates for enrollment, and determine appropriateness of candidates for admission based upon career goal compatibility. 9. Follow up on potential student inquiries to provide admissions counseling and encourage enrollment at the university; maintain an in-depth knowledge of the changing academic program offerings in order to share relevant and accurate program information with potential applicants. 10. Travel to and participate in appropriate recruitment and enrollment activities including: open houses, community colleges, regional presentations, training sessions, orientation programs, career days. 11. Manage and analyze data imports and exports to and from the online application, and ensuring systems remain accurate and function optimally. This position is also responsible for establishing productivity benchmarks and striving to meet goals established by the College. 12. Evaluate and report outcomes; Use information in statistical, fiscal, and other reports to make improvements to the recruiting process. 13. Demonstrate sensitivity to students, faculty, and staff from diverse racial, ethnic, religious, gender, cultural, disability, sexual orientation and socioeconomic backgrounds. 14. Responsible for budget planning and resource allocation for responsible areas including developing detailed proposals to support recruitment and admissions 15. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, or a related field. -Three years of relevant admission/recruitment experience required. -Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. -Public speaking experience in both small and large forums required. -Ability to relate to people of all age groups, academic abilities and cultures necessary. -Experience with MS Office software essential. -Experience creating and implementing recruitment plans. -Experience working with student information systems desirable. -Experience working in higher education, admissions, sales, recruiting, or in other related work. -Comfortable with a heavy phone-based work environment. Willingness to travel by car during weekdays; valid driver's license. -Must be available to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends consistently.

Preferred Qualifications: -Master's degree. -Supervisory experience. -Experience with Banner Student Records System. -Event planning experience helpful.

Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000
