The Extension for Community Health Outcomes (ECHO) has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Administrative Assistant position.

This class describes the third administrative assistant level. Positions in this level have the flexibility and latitude in adapting practical approaches or routines for various situations. Work includes, but is not limited to, positions that are authorized to make exceptions to eligibility requirements, quotas, and fees or charges; design work methods used by others; perform desk top publishing, including the design, layout, paste up, and editing of program documents; produce technical documents, such as scientific papers, use several software packages; release official information or documents that are legally confidential depending on the reason, requestor, and document requested; schedule facilities, such as class or conference rooms, by determining the eligibility of the event and group; plan events by writing specific orders and compiling operating expense data, arranging the logistics and equipment, selecting menus and caterers, designing decorations, scheduling the site, locating selected presenters, setting reservation deadlines, and making transportation and lodging arrangements for participants; create and sign correspondence without prior instructions where the content varies based on the nature of issue being addressed; and, complete the forms to adjust or transfer funds as restrictions change or to cover shortages, and authorize expenditures for office supplies.
The Administrative Assistant will provide financial and administrative support for Extension for Community Health Outcomes Colorado (ECHO CO). This position will have grant and procurement responsibilities along with providing general office support. Grant and procurement responsibilities will include (and are not limited to) working in CU Marketplace and Concur to place orders, assisting staff with procurement card and travel expense reports, assisting staff with travel arrangements, creating purchase orders, payment vouchers and non-employee reimbursements, verifying expenditures, maintaining detail expenditure tracking system for reporting on grants and ensuring the propriety of all transactions in accordance with all State, and University rules and regulations, and other duties as assigned. General office support responsibilities will include (and are not limited to) scheduling meetings/events, preparing and distributing materials, taking minutes, and arranging venues and catering. This position will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Program Center, including ordering supplies, handling incoming and outgoing mail, organizing conference calls and Zoom meetings, managing the calendar for program leadership as well as general office duties including filing/archiving/copying/labels, greeting guests for all programs located in the Nighthorse Campbell Native Health Building and assisting, as needed, with directions in the building, and other duties as assigned. This position will provide assistance to and work under the guidance of the Business Services and Fiscal Manager to ensure efficiency for ECHO CO. programs.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this full-time position has been established at $35,000 to $46,488 and is commensurate with skills and experience.

Two (2) years of general clerical experience.
Substitution: College or university course work appropriate to the work assignment, may substitute on a year for year basis for the experience.
- Two (2) years' experience working at a higher education institution with experience working with information systems and financial applications.
- Experience working with Financial, Administrative and Procurement Regulations and Procedures, and utilizing Accounting Principles and Practices.
- Experience working with CU procurement and accounting software such as PeopleSoft, Marketplace and Concur systems
- Experience in planning and managing events.
- Two (2) years' experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
