We are hiring a supervisor for the Toledo, OH and surrounding Lucas County areas

Transportation Supervisor Job Description
We are preparing to conduct interviews for a full-time supervisor that will be responsible for wheelchair van operators and ambulatory vehicle drivers. Positions require working days, evenings and weekend shifts.

Summary of Position:
  1. To complete driver and vehicle inspections
  2. To supervise drivers
  3. To respond to accident/incident situations
  4. To communicate with dispatch
  5. To communicate with management
  6. To provide safe, reliable and efficient transportation of clients who are wheelchair bound and ambulatory clients in a compassionate and caring manner

Essential duties, Skills and Responsibilities: Client Focus:
  1. Provide excellent client services by being respectful and courteous at all times
  2. Escort clients to and from origination point to destination
  3. Safely assist clients and riders in and out of vehicle
  4. Maintain confidentiality with regards to client information

Transport Focus:
  1. Safely Operate vehicle
  2. Respond to non-emergency service calls as dispatched
  3. Recognize and acknowledge safe securement of wheelchair
  4. Strong working knowledge of four point securement of wheelchairs
  5. Strong map reading skills and knowledge of Columbus and nearby suburbs
  6. Operate wheelchair lift as needed (pneumatically and manually)
  7. Ensure clients and other riders are safe and comfortable

Operational Focus:
  1. Communications: Interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with clients, customers, co-workers, supervisors and the general public
  2. Ability to sufficiently convey information and to receive work direction
  3. Ability to maintain organizational logs and documents
  4. Ability to clean and perform basic repairs and maintenance of equipment
  5. Ability to perform routine vehicle and equipment safety checks

Qualifications:

a. 25 years of age or older
  1. High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  2. Must be insurable on our Commercial Insurance Policy
  3. Must pass background check
  4. Must pass drug screening
  5. Must be able to obtain a physician's statement attesting to driver's Fitness for Duty

Company Description
Our company is a Wheelchair Transportation company and as such our drivers are required to operate a commercial vehicle (Wheelchair Van) to transport our clients to and from appointments.
