POSITION: 9-month, assistant professor, full-time, non-tenure track, fixed term renewable appointment.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities include teaching nutrition related graduate and undergraduate courses, advising students, participating in research projects, advising graduate students, and supervising theses.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

The Department of Behavioral Health and Nutrition (BHAN), located within the College of Health Sciences, has over 750 undergraduates participating in five majors that include: Health Behavior Science, Applied Nutrition, Dietetics, and Nutritional Sciences. Graduate programs include study and training in Health Promotion, Human Nutrition, and Health Coaching. BHAN is known for dynamic teaching and a rapidly growing research program. BHAN and the College of Health Sciences' inter-disciplinary environment provides highly supportive career development tools and infrastructure that promotes faculty innovation and growth in research and teaching. The College of Health Sciences is a thriving academic unit of over 2000 students and approximately 100 faculty with state-of-the-art research and teaching facilities. Including the departments of Behavioral Health and Nutrition, Kinesiology and Applied Physiology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Medical Laboratory Sciences, and Physical Therapy, and the School of Nursing, the College is currently transitioning to an exciting new collaborative clinical research complex on a recently acquired 272-acre tract of University property being developed as a Science, Technology, and Advanced Research campus in one of the nation's leading life science regions. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral degree in a nutrition with postdoctoral training in nutrition/nutrition related field. Research experience in human nutrition and metabolism. A minimum of four years of experience in higher education with a focus on nutrition, epidemiology, research methods and other nutrition-related instruction. Ability to mentor graduate students in nutrition research.
