Assistant Professor in Cancer Research
The Assistant Professor in the Markey Cancer Center will provide unique expertise on breast cancer, migration & metastasis that will contribute to a range of extramurally funded research programs. This expertise will facilitate initiation and maintenance of research and other creative activities for the College, University and community.
Research and other creative activities will include, but are not limited to, initiating research; collaborating with faculty and other professionals inside/outside the institution to provide scientific direction and guidance on issues related to the design, conduct, and evaluation of research and other creative activities, leading and participating in the submission of applications to appropriate extramural agencies, and providing scientific and technical assistance to the College, University and community for research and other creative activities.
Professional development activities will include, but are not limited to, becoming involved in other academic duties, such as on departmental and university committees appropriate for academic rank, as assigned by the Department Chair. This individual will also be encouraged to engage in professional related activities on local, state, and national workgroups, committees and technical advisory panels.
