The Office of Admissions at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Recruiting Specialist II to join our team. This administrative and professional position is primarily for the recruitment of prospective students to the University of North Texas. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Extensive recruitment and programming, counseling, and guidance of high academic caliber applicants for admission and rendering of services to applicants and prospective students visiting the UNT campus. * Specific attention will be given to developing yield initiatives designed to matriculate accepted students to enrolled status. * Assist in student recruiting functions of the Office of Admissions. * Participation in on-campus and external events directly related to UNT high academic caliber admission and recruitment efforts.* Communication through FTIC e-mail inbox, coordinating FTIC visit log and ensuring log is up to date. * Serves as the primary coordinator of FTIC recruitment reports and is responsible for the implementation of FTIC recruitment communication.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience in recruiting, academic advising, counseling, student services, or related experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:* Considerable knowledge of University policies and procedures related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).* Knowledge of Texas rules and regulations related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).* Ability to think creatively and identify new integrated recruiting opportunities.* Strong presentation skills.* Strong problem solving skills.* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations verbally and in writing.* Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.* Ability to coordinate and supervise the work of others.
