Nature of Work

This position reports to the Associate Dean of the Richards College of Business and will perform the following duties. 1) Work collaboratively with Richards College leadership (Dean, Associate Dean, Assistant Dean, Department Chairs, and Budget Manager) to create Marketing Strategy to promote the educational, experience, and engagement opportunities for students of the Richards College of Business. This work will include print publications, maintenance of the Richards College website, social media coordination across the various Departments, Centers, and student groups, development and distribution of promotional materials, and the preparation and maintenance of visual materials. Serve as liaison with University Communications and Marketing for the development of advertising copy and placement, as well as assisting in budgetary decisions related to these expenditures. 2) Work with faculty and staff in the Richards College to plan, execute, and provide on-site support strategic academic and social events. 3) Serve as liaison with the business community, coordinate visits from external constituents, work with and UWG Career Services to facilitate internships. 4) Coordinate logistics, negotiate contracts, collaborate with Georgia WebMBA budget manager on expenses, and provide on-site support for strategic events for the Georgia WebMBA. 5) Perform other duties as needed to facilitate the Marketing, social media, events and programs for the Richards College of Business.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. 3+ years experience in Marketing, Social
Media, Event Management, or similar required. Exceptional listening, written and oral communication, and organizational skills required. Ability to interact with a broad range of constituents, to work independently and collaboratively, to engage in local and occasional national travel, to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

Master Degree Preferred. Budget experience preferred since this position will recommend expenditures.

Salary

Minimum $48,191 to Midpoint $65,668

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

May occasionally need to move or lift 25 pounds. Occasional evening and weekend work is involved, with some travel required.
