Nature of Work

This position will serve as a UWG eCampus Advisor, providing support to online students through telephone, email, face-to-face assistance, orientations, and other means; will respond to requests from potential students, assisting them with the application process and maintain appropriate documentation of all student inquiries. Will also serve as a member of the eCore Student Success Team, providing at-risk and support for eCore students. Will collaborate with other campus departments to ensure that students enrolled in online or off-campus programs receive the highest level of student services. Will be proactive in identifying potential barriers to online student enrollment and academic persistence, promoting eCore and other online program initiatives on-campus, online, and other means. Will develop and deliver online and face to face programs related to preparing and supporting students in online courses at UWG. Participates in the campus-wide at-risk student retention solution(s), including communication with at-risk students. Will provide administrative support, including purchasing, to other departmental personnel.

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required with at least 2 or more years of college. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience as a student taking one or more online courses. Computer literate. Good understanding of an online LMS platform such as Desire2Learn and Microsoft Access required. Customer service or advising/student service experience in an institution of higher education highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

MSN Degree and Part-time clinical instruction experience and/or full-time nursing faculty experience.

Salary

minimum $31,216 to midpoint $41,739

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

May require occasional evening and/or weekend work. May require occasional travel to UWG Newnan Center and elsewhere.
